Dear member,
On Thinking Day as we celebrate and think of fellow Scouts from around the world, let us encourage friendships and keep close to our hearts Scout Law 4 “A Scout is a friend to all, and a brother to every other Scout, no matter to what Country, Class or Creed the other may belong.”
Our founder said “Try to leave this world a little better than you found it.” It can be difficult in our current time, but by working together and understanding different customs and ways of living Scouts really can be friends to all other Scouts and can work together to encourage tolerance – be the ambassador of peace .
As we celebrate Thinking Day in our Scouting groups, let us help to instil this message of friendship, in the hope that it will spread further and lead to a more peaceful world for all.
Please encourage your groups to support the Scouts in Nepal as asked in the World Council’s greetings in the attachment.
Yours in traditional Scouting
